Origins and development
How the method grew from one homeopath’s experiment in 2002 into a system of a dozen preparation techniques, with the date each was introduced.
The founder
Jiří Čehovský (he gave his age as seventy in April 2018) has practised classical homeopathy in Prague since 1980. He founded the publisher Alternativa s.r.o. in 1991, founded and long chaired the Czech Homeopathic Society, co-wrote the Czech homeopathic software KENT and HOMEO, and directs the Homeopathic Academy in Prague. In 2022 the homeopathy journal Hpathy.com gave him an “Award of Excellence; Pioneer in Homeopathy”. Kryštof Čehovský and Filip Čehovský also write case reports and articles for the site; Kryštof runs consultations and webinars. About us
Where the idea came from
Čehovský credits two older sources.
- Autoisopathy. “Some homeopaths, starting already with Hahnemann, used a highly diluted (potentized) information from the treated person… It was called autoisopathy.” Earlier forms potentised pus, faeces or urine. A forgotten method, 2013
- The kundika. A Buddhist water vessel with a side spout, carried by monks and shown in the hands of figures such as Maitreya and Avalokiteshvara. Čehovský saw one in a painting in the National Gallery in Prague a year or two after designing his bottle and was struck by the likeness. Drawing on an article by Coomaraswamy and Kershaw in Artibus Asiae, he argues the vessel was a “life-breathing vessel”: breathed into, then drunk from, producing a low potency of the monk’s own breath. He also cites the Kundika Upanishad. Breath article, 2010

Why the early material can mislead
The method has changed a great deal. The 2005 book describes saliva only; the founder says it “contains only limited information not reflecting further development” and recommends reading his books in reverse order of publication. Instructions on the internet from before 2010 often recommend things he later dropped, such as making a preparation in a bottle cap (the Korsakov method), which he says gave no lasting results. Correct preparation, 2009
The books
| Title | First published | Note from the publisher |
|---|---|---|
| Autopathy Handbook: Enhancing Our Life Force | Alternativa, cited as 2017 | “The main and complete source of information”; read first |
| Get Well with Autopathy | 4th extended edition cited as 2012; at least six editions | Textbook; “almost a hundred cases”; read second |
| Autopathy: A Homeopathic Journey to Harmony | 2005 | Saliva only; not updated; read last |
All three are sold by Alternativa through autopathy.com. Publication years are as the founder’s own articles cite them; the books page gives none.
The community
An annual conference has run since 2009, first in Prague and online in 2021, 2023 and 2024 (in English, with interpretation), with papers by consultants and lay users; many of the case reports in the case library began as conference papers. Alternativa trains and lists consultants, runs English webinars and sells the bottle, books and a gas micro-burner. Events
