Questions and answers

Short answers, each pointing to the page with the detail and the source.

Getting started

Do I need the special bottle?

Yes. The founder rejects improvised vessels for anything beyond first aid: their potency is unknown and, in his experience, results did not last. See Other and historical methods.

Which preparation should I start with?

For most chronic complaints the founder starts with a boiled method, usually boiled breath. For mainly psychological complaints, prana. After an injury or for an infant, unboiled breath or saliva. See Choosing a preparation.

How much water?

By vitality: 1 to 1.5 l if low, 3 l if middle, 6 l if strong. Then step up, typically by 1.5 l, only after a fixed observation period. See Potency.

How often?

Usually repeated at the start of a chronic course, about weekly on average; more often for fast-moving or serious illness; single doses at high volumes. See Dosing.

Do I swallow it?

No. A few drops go on the middle of the forehead and are left to dry. The rest goes down the drain.

Does it matter what I think while I do it?

The founder: “What you think while doing it does not matter at all.”

Water and bottles

Can I use tap water?

Not chlorinated tap water. Still spring water, distilled water (in the newer leaflets), or tap water through a solid carbon block filter. Never sparkling, high-mineral, flavoured or ionized water. See Equipment.

How do I make 30 or 100 litres?

Under a carbon filter on a tap, or at a clean spring or well, measured by time: about 2 litres a minute. 30 l is about 15 minutes; 100 l about 50.

How long does a bottle last?

Up to three months from first use, for one person. Replace it sooner after a big step down in volume.

Can two people share a bottle?

Never. Each person has their own.

Can I use one bottle for boiled saliva and boiled breath?

Yes, for the same person. Prana needs its own bottle that has never held saliva or breath.

Medication and other treatment

Should I stop my medication?

No. Nothing in the method’s instructions asks you to, and the leaflets say it is “not a substitute for medical care”. Change medication only with your doctor. See Safety.

Can I combine it with homeopathy?

The founder does, at times, and describes the two as complementary. He reports that other alternative therapies used at the same time can interfere. Above 30 l he advises against combining preparation methods.

Does medication stop it working?

The founder treats regular medication as a reason to repeat more often (daily to every third day), and names antibiotics and corticoids “ill-considered” among things that can halt progress.

Family and animals

Can I make it for my child?

Yes, wearing a mask, in the child’s own bottle. Boiled methods must be prepared by an adult. For babies, the chilled empty bottle collects breath. See Children, pregnancy, age, animals.

Can I use it for my dog or horse?

The literature describes owners doing so, with breath, saliva, urine or prana. See Animals. It is not a substitute for a vet.

Can my partner do it if they do not believe in it?

The founder does not make belief a condition, and says that what you think while preparing does not matter. His practical advice (2018) is not to promise it will change anyone’s attitudes, and to offer it when they have an acute problem.

Results

How soon should I notice something?

Acute problems: within hours to days. Chronic problems: often only after one to three weeks at the right volume; in the founder’s 2026 example, in the fourth week. Set the observation period before starting. See Dosing.

Things got worse. What now?

The method distinguishes a short aggravation or old symptoms returning (wait) from a steady general worsening over several days (no resonance; change the plan). A severe or frightening symptom needs help first; see Safety. See Reading the response.

Where can I get personal guidance?

Alternativa lists trained consultants and runs webinars and courses at autopathy.com. This reference has no connection with them.
