Situations
Acute illness, pain, injury and sport
The protocols practitioners use when something starts suddenly: a cold or flu coming on, a stomach bug, pain, an injury, or the strain of hard training.
Catching a cold or flu at the start
The most detailed acute routine in the literature comes from Andrea Szabo, a long-time user with a tendency for every cold to go down to the chest. Her rule: start at the first sign (a scratchy throat, aching joints, feeling hot inside or shivery) and repeat hourly. Acute problems, 2016
- Make a preparation from boiled saliva, 1 l (she later also used boiled saliva and breath together, to cover both bacterial and viral infections).
- Instead of only drops on the forehead, hold the bottle one minute at the brow, one minute at the throat, then one minute back at the brow. Put one drop on the brow. She also ends with a minute above the head.
- Repeat every hour until the symptoms go. The first dose usually does little; there is “always a definite positive effect after the 2nd dose”. Give a third after another hour to settle it.
- If the chest starts to feel sore, add one minute at the heart chakra (middle of the chest). In her experience the cold “will go back and remain in the nose”.
- If symptoms come back, start the hourly doses again at once.
Volume: 1 l each time, rising slightly to 1.5 l at most. Her finding: started early, “AP will stop the disease from coming altogether”; started later, it shortens the illness and prevents bronchitis or sinusitis.
Two worked examples (her father, aged 84)
| Day | Cold with violent dry cough, pneumonia feared | Colic and diarrhoea |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 l boiled breath, once in the evening | 1 l boiled saliva and breath, 5 times (9, 12, 4, 7, 10) |
| 2 | 1 l, 4 times | 1 l, twice |
| 3 | 1 l, 3 times | 1 l, once at bedtime |
| 4 | 1 l, 3 times | 1 l, once at bedtime |
| 5 | 1 l, 3 times | |
| 6 to 7 | 1 l, twice a day | |
| 8 | 2 l once, to finish | |
| Result | Better by noon on day 2; cough gone by day 4 | Better on day 2; “excellent” by day 4 |
Each dose was held about a minute (30 seconds for the colic) at the chakras she felt matched the illness: brow, throat, chest, then back up and finishing above the head.
The founder’s figures for colds and flu
- 6 l, single dose for most people.
- 3 l, repeated every 2 hours for people over 50 or with serious internal disease.
- More recently he often boils the saliva for these.
- For high fever in children: 6 l boiled saliva, repeated every few hours or once.
Autopathy and flu, 2011; Detoxication II
He reports that people who meet acute illness with autopathy get ill less often afterwards, and he treats an acute illness in someone long well as a signal that the old chronic picture may be returning, so the course is resumed for a while.
Pain
The founder’s view: pain is the warning light of a disturbed vital force, so the preparation is aimed at the person, not the painful part, and “the pain disappears, but not before the harmony returns in the affected organ”. Pain treatment, 2012
His example: a woman with 18 months of severe pain under the right ribs shooting to her back, neck and head, no diagnosis, painkillers not working, unable to sleep. Saliva 1 l once a week. The pain “stopped completely soon after use” and sleep returned; a year later it came back only briefly and stopped with the next dose. She moved on to 6 l.
Other pain protocols from the case library:
| Pain | Protocol | Report |
|---|---|---|
| Arthritis, knees (grade 3) | Boiled breath 3 l weekly for 3 weeks, then 4.5 l weekly | Joint pain, 2022 |
| Wrist, hip, forearm, waking at 3 a.m. | 4.5 l then 6 l every other day, boiled and unboiled breath alternated | Joint and gallbladder pain, 2025 |
| Period pain, lifelong | Boiled breath 8 l once, during the pain | Menstrual pain, 2013 |
| Hip osteoarthritis (grade 3) | 4.5 l then 6 l every other day, boiled and unboiled breath alternated | Third chakra, 2024 |
| Long-term musculoskeletal pain, immediate relief | See the two cases | Immediate relief, 2025 |
For joints and back the founder’s first choice is boiled breath (Choosing a preparation).
Injuries
- Straight after an injury, start with unboiled breath or saliva. Step by step
- A high single dose works well in strong, active people. Kryštof Čehovský, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitor, could barely walk for five days after a hip injury in sparring; the day after 50 l unboiled breath (25 minutes under a filter) he walked normally, and the day after that he trained fully. Sport, 2017
- Burns: Prana 5 2 l with a cloth soaked in the preparation laid on the burn; pain stopped at once and it healed in a week. Small burns, 2014
- A wound that will not close: a boiled preparation made from the wound’s own discharge, 3 l. Pus, 2016
- After surgery or dental work, repeat the last dose that worked, since these events can halt a course.
Sport and training
Kryštof Čehovský, a consultant and former conditioning trainer, uses autopathy with athletes for recovery, injuries and performance, and describes its use after exertion as faster regeneration and better repair of muscle and ligament. Active lifestyle, 2020
| Athlete | Protocol | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Jiu-jitsu black belt, daily rhinitis for 7 years, hip and lower back pain | 3 l boiled saliva and boiled breath alternated daily; 4.5 l every second day; 6 l, then 7.5 l twice a week; then 7.5 l weekly (boiled and unboiled breath alternated), then 9 l | Rhinitis 80 percent better at 7.5 l, gone at 9 l; hips much better, full leg techniques again |
| Marathon runner and company owner, stress hurting his training | Unboiled breath 25 l at least weekly, raised over months to 50 l (25 minutes), after hard sessions and low-energy days | “Full of energy”, more stable, needing it less often |
| Woman in a boxing gym (USA) | Breath taken while out of breath after 15 minutes of skipping, then diluted; later after every run | Better breathing control and focus at the next session; sinus congestion cleared during training |
The last example points to an idea practitioners use: gather the breath in the state you want to change. She did the same after climbing stairs in the heat, which then stopped exhausting her.
The founder’s general rule for strong, healthy people applies here too: higher vitality takes higher volumes, and unboiled breath at 25 l and above is the usual choice once any chronic problem is cleared.
